Ump Attire has everything a new or veteran official needs. They provide a 10% discount to NASO members, as well. They regularly have specials and deals throughout the seasons to purchase quality products at good prices.

USA Softball

Members are welcome to use any source for their equipment and uniforms. 

USA Softball of Southern California (USAS SoCal) carries many uniform and equipment options, including:

  • MOA Logo shirts and jackets

  • Non-logo hats, ball bags, shirts, pants, jackets, shoes, equipment and accessories

  • USAS SoCal can also provide any item offered on the USA Softball website at officialgear.com

All uniform profits go back into the umpire training programs.

MOA Uniform Requirements

UNIFORM​

  1. Navy Blue, Midnight Navy Blue, or Powder Blue Short or Long Sleeve Shirt with MOA logo over left breast pocket (Both umpires must wear the same style shirt). Shirt should be free of wrinkles and not faded.

  2. Heather Grey slacks (Base Pants are recommended for SP). Slacks free of wrinkles and not faded.

  3. Navy shorts may be worn for SP only.

  4. Navy Blue Fitted Cap with no lettering.

  5. Navy Blue Ball Bag (s) with no lettering.

  6. Black shoes, either solid black or with white accents. Shoes should be clean and shined.

  7. Navy Blue Jacket (Pullover, Zipper or Button Down) with MOA lettering over left breast pocket.

  8. Black Belt.

  9. Black or Navy socks (white socks with Navy shorts (SP).

  10. White short-sleeve undershirt may be worn with Powder Blue shirt. Navy blue undershirt with Navy blue shirt.

    10a. Long sleeve undershirts are not authorized with short sleeve shirts.

EQUIPMENT

  1. Mask.

  2. Chest Protector.

  3. Shin Guards.

  4. Indicator.

  5. Plate Brush.

  6. A time piece not to be worn. DO NOT BRING A CELL PHONE ON THE FIELD.

  7. No jewelry is to be worn other than a Wedding ring or Medical ID.
