Margarita Officials Association (MOA) serves the San Diego high school softball community. Our training program begins in January to prepare for the spring CIF softball season and consists of the following:

Mentoring Program - You can get focused attention and guidance by working one-on-one with an experienced umpire. Our Mentoring Program pairs up a new Umpire with an experienced umpire to provide real-time situational learning and growth while on the field

Scrimmage game work pre-season, to get you prepared for the season

Scheduled Game Assignments (Beginning in February-March) - for all High School Softball Levels = Freshman/Novice (Frosh), JV, & Varsity - Monday through Saturday - No games on Sunday

Automated Game Assignment Scheduling & Payment - Games are assigned 2 weeks in advance, with automated payments occurring approximately every 2 weeks - MOA will provide games that fit into your available schedule!

Along with the CIF Season, MOA also supports various tournaments, such as the Falcon Fiesta and Cougar Classic, providing even more game opportunities

Pay the annual membership fee of $125

Provide your own equipment and uniforms - MOA can help new umpires get started with equipment. Returning members donate gear each year, which is made available to new umpires, to help keep start-up equipment costs low
